The 24th Annual California Barrel event will once again be held at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington DC which has become the most popular location for the event for both wineries and attendees.

The 2007 vintage is without doubt a superb vintage and is definitely worth coming out to experience this incredible vintage for yourselves!!!

The 24th Annual California Barrel Tasting will be on Saturday March 21st 2009 in two sessions; the first from 12:30PM until 3PM, and the second 6:30PM until 9PM. We have decided after careful consideration and many requests from the guests to extend both sessions from 2 hours to 2 ½ hours. I think this will give our customers a little extra time to get to see everybody and maybe make the end of each session a little less hectic.

Wines

This has turned out to be the greatest vintage since 2001 or 2002 for the Bordeaux varietals in Napa, although 2005 is very close in quality, if very different in style. The wines display extraordinary fragrance and gorgeously seamless personalities, with sweet noble tannins as well as terrific concentration and length. It is a very exciting vintage.
