1Strub Kabinett 'Soil to Soul' – Riesling- 2006
Rheinhessen, Germany
100% Estate grown fruit here, all from the top Rheinhessen village f Nierstein. It has just enough RS to please the generic varietal crowd, but enough acidity to keep all the German freaks' toes curling. Honey, apricots, peaches and just enough acid to keep you coming back.

2Roger Champault Sancerre Blanc “Pierris”- 2006
Sancerre, France
honeyed melon-scented nose, excellent purity and freshness, medium body, and the crisp, rich, mineral-like fruitiness of a top-notch Sancerre. There are outstanding purity and focus in this wine. Most of this estate's vines range in age from 30-50. Champault has traditionally sold much of its production to negociants who then bottled the wine as luxury cuvees. Eric Solomon convinced the vineyard owner, Roger Champault, to offer an estate bottling!

3Maso Poli- Pinot Grigio- 2006
Trentino, Italy
Pale coppery-yellow color. Fresh-cut apple and melon on the nose. Mouthfilling flavors of banana, ripe melon and cream, with a delightful mouthwatering freshness throughout. An agreeable vein fo bitter almond emerges on the sustained finish. unusually tropical for a pinot grigio, but very engaging. 90 points WS

4Terredora di Paolo- Falanghina- 2006
Campania, Italy
Pale yellow color. Offers a rich and intense aroma of fruit with hints of apple, pineapple, quince and pear. It is fresh and clean in the mouth with excellent acidity, good structure and a floral finish. A wine for the whole meal equally at home with hors d’oeuvres, soups, fish dishes, cold dishes, buffalo mozzarella and fresh cheeses.

5Domaine de la Janasse VdP Rose 2007
Vin de Pays, France
light salmon color is followed by nose of strawberries, cherries, and cranberries. Medium-bodied, with fresh, dry flavors, purity and surprising intensity, this blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, is a surprisingly firm, well-structured rose. Fruity enough to be served as an aperitif, it could easily be matched with an assortment of dishes in view of its structure and seriousness.

6Rocca di Frassinello- Poggio alla Guardia- 2005
Toscana, Italy
A new and exciting wine from an estate in Central Maremma. The winery is the result of a powerhouse partnership between Paolo Panerai, owner of Castellare di Castellina in Chianti Classico, and Baron Eric de Rothschild of the world famous Domaines Barons de Rothschild-Lafite. Maremma has a long established winegrowing tradition, especially in the North (Bolgheri) and the South (Morellino di Scansano). Poggio alla Guardia is a blend of 15% Sangioveto, 45% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a dark ruby garnet color with spicy and meaty dark fruit aromas. On the palate it is silky smooth and exhibits lovely blueberry and blackberry fruit flavors with notes of clove and loam. It has excellent structure, good acidity and grip on the finish
