Few wine producing regions in the world can be counted on to consistently deliver high quality wine like the Rhone Valley. 2007 is currently being heralded as a monumental vintage by Robert M. Parker Jr. He declares, “Throughout the southern Rhone, 2007 is the greatest vintage I have tasted in my thirty years working in that region.” These wines are being released over the next year and we are excited and actively seeking out stock to offer for sale, yet before all the attention falls entirely on the 2007’s we liked to remind our savvy customers not to overlook other recent vintages . Very good wines were produced in both the north and southern Rhone in 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2001, and 2000. These wines are well worth seeking out for your drinking pleasure now, over the near term, and to cellar for special occasions in the future.
