Fall Favorites: Pinot Noir

Pinot noir wines are among the most popular in the world. Joel Fleischman of Vanity Fair describes them as "the most romantic of wines, with so voluptuous a perfume, so sweet an edge, and so powerful a punch that, like falling in love..." However, a notoriously finicky grape in the vineyard, Pinot Noir often doesn’t come cheap. Prices soar well above $100 for the best bottlings!

Pinot Noir is a versatile wine that pairs especially well with earthy, rustic vegetables and fruits like cherry, cranberry, and plum. Look to serve Pinot with braised meats and stews, root vegetables and especially mushrooms. Turkey and duck are both fantastic with Pinot Noir.

We’ve selected a few our favorites from the USA… All Most under $99 (and high scoring) for you to try!

Elegant, yet still brimming in meaty tannins, this wine offers deftness on entry, diving deeper into blueberry cobbler and baked bread as it goes.
