From cask (and destined to have been bottled last September), the 2006 Riesling Maximum allies sweet freesia and buddleia; citrus flower and oils (orange, kumquat); nuts and brown spices, and a litany (if they were nameable!) of mineral notes in a remarkable show of richness combined with vivacity. Unusually low-toned in finish for a Riesling, but with floral and mineral complexity throughout, this will demand a few years in the bottle and probably reward up to a decade.
