The 2015 Barbaresco Basarin is a bold, flamboyant wine that expresses the natural richness and raciness of the year off to great effect. Super-ripe red cherry jam, spice, new leather and flavors literally jump out of the glass. As it did last year, the Basarin shows a slightly warm, alcoholic character. But that is not enough to detract from the immense pleasure it provides.
