When it comes to white Bordeaux most likely the first name people think of is Chateau Carbonnieux. What you might not know is that this famed Pessac Chateau also makes a second wine from younger vines not quite ready for the grand vin. This outstanding blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon is the perfect Spring sipper and would pair nicely with just about anything. If you are looking for a nice change up from Sancerre or New Zealand Sauv Blanc this is the perfect choice. Aged in barrel for 9 months it really drinks like a "baby Carbonnieux" and if you've had the grand vin before we're sure you'll recognize the unique style.
