L'Empreinte is a cuvee name for a wine that combines four different 1ers. A moderately woody nose fights a bit with the ripe aromas of various purple fruit scents while trimmed in hints of earth, spice and exotic tea. There is terrific intensity and overt power to the solidly concentrated larger-scaled flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the sappy, very firm and austere finale. This is also clearly built-to-age and a wine that's going to need at least a few years of bottle age to both become more approachable as well as better integrate its generous wood treatment. With that said, this is very promising provided you have the patience to wait.
