The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Carrieres is showing superbly this year, wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, raspberries, spices, raw cocoa and rose hips. Medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's lively and concentrated, concluding with a long, mineral finish. This has turned out especially well and ranks as one of the finest renditions to date of this de facto monopole (since neither of Les Carrieres two other proprietors bottle it as such).
