The 2019 Martinet Bru was also bottled and ready for tasting, so I tasted it next to the 2018. The only difference is that this year they used a small amount of very young Garnacha. 2019 was a warmer and drier year than 2018. The fruit ripened earlier and shows explosive. It's a year of generous expression?a positive, happy year. The wine is immediate, approachable and gentle, with very fine tannins. 56,000 bottles, 1,078 magnums and some larger formats produced. It was bottled in November 2020, a few days before I tasted it, yet the wine was very harmonious.
