The 2020 Fruhlingsplatzchen Riesling Spatlese is clear and flinty on the very reductive nose that reveals bright and elegant fruit intertwined with herbal aromas and those of wet, red clayish slate. Bright, crystalline and fresh on the palate, this is a juicy, piquant and persistently salty Spatlese with a stimulating grippy finish. A classic that will still be great in 30 or even 40 years. 8.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in July 2021.
