Bright straw-green. Ginger dominates the fresh fruit and botanical-herb-driven nose. Then ripe and juicy, offering apple and fresh citrus flavors of sneaky concentration. Finishes very long and saline, featuring a repeating ginger note (a sign deriving from the combination of ripe Riesling grapes and granite soils). This will likely age well. More refined and deeper than the entry-level Riesling, and a real knockout. In Europe this wine is labeled ?Sommerberg JV? (where JV stands for Jeunes Vignes).
