The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chaumées Clos St. Abdon 1er Cru shows a bit of reduction on the nose, though it opens to reveal attractive flint and citrus notes, quite Puligny-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. There remains some vanillary oak to be fully assimilated, but it has a lovely touch of sweet marzipan and Turkish Delight on the finish.
