The 2014 Pinot Noir La Reine is a blend of California heritage and Dijon clones. The wine spent 14 months in 25% new French oak and was bottled without fining or filtering. Thirty percent whole clusters were used. This is a terrific Pinot Noir. Dark garnet-colored, with loads of clove, spice, dark cherry and blackcurrant, some earthiness and a hint of sassafras, it is medium to full-bodied, luscious and ideal for drinking over the next 5-6 years.
