La Spinona's 2016 Barolo Bergera is an intense, driving wine. It offers up scents of crushed red berries, orange peel and spice, all in a mid-weight, transparent style that is hugely appealing. Time in the glass brings out floral accents as the wine starts to show a more delicate side of its personality. There is a lot to like here.
