The 2021 Berncasteler Doctor Riesling Kabinett opens with clear, pure, precise and intense fruit that is delicate rather than showing off and intertwined with fine slate aromas. Lush and savory on the palate, this is a crystalline, saline and fruity, pretty long and intense Doctor with an almost dry-tasting finish (and if not now, then in 15 years). The 2021 is too young for early consumption, but it's highly elegant, finessed and very promising for the future. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 7 22 in July 2022.
