The 2017 O…… (for “Oslavje”, yet prevented from using the name by government regulations) has a deep golden color. A wild bouquet of crushed tangerine, young mango, candied ginger and dusty dried flowers display in the glass. This fills the palate with round, soothing textures, as saline-minerals slowly saturate, and tart green apples are both enlivened and sweetened by brilliant acidity. It’s amazingly fresh yet staining through the finish, with sour melon lingering. While lightly structured, the 2017 is so likable today that it's frankly hard not to drink instead of taste. This blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon underwent three months of skin contact.
