The 2017 Ried Loibenberg Riesling Smaragd is from the eastern part of the cru where the soil is very poor and the microclimate significantly cooler than in the central part of the famous cru. The nose of the 2017 is clear and crunchy but intense and concentrated with its ripe white, refreshing fruit aromas. Dense and concentrated on the palate, this is a full-bloodied, tightly woven and very elegant Loibenberg Riesling with great grip, mineral tension and piquant lemon fruit flavors. Highly stimulating on the intense, lovely, astringent finish with yellow fruit and floral flavors on the long, aromatic aftertaste
