The 2016 Pinot Noir Spear Vineyard comes from a relatively young vineyard located on the northern side of the Sta. Rita Hills, not far from Melville and Babcock. It's slightly deeper colored and offers a more smoky, earthy, savory bouquet of red currants, ground herbs, earth, and graphite. These all flow to a rich, beautifully textured, elegant Pinot Noir that has terrific depth and density as well as length. It's a brilliant Pinot Noir from this team to drink any time over the coming decade.
