The 2018 Chablis Montee de Tonnerre 1er Cru, aged 15 months on the lees, has more Chablis character than the Fourchaume, and greater tension; subtle flinty aromas develop with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and crisp. The spicy finish lingers in the mouth. This is a fine, energetic Montee de Tonnerre that should offer a decade of drinking pleasure
