A blend of Mendoza and Clone 95, all wild-fermented in barrel with 15% new oak, the 2016 Chardonnay is a terrific effort. Struck flint and pencil shavings mark the nose, alongside toasted almonds, pineapple and melon notes. It's medium to full-bodied, with a silky texture and long, citrusy finish. It should age up to a decade.

Shows terrific intensity, with tangy Meyer lemon, pear and lime zest notes, accented by touches of caramel and spice. Finishes with focus and mouthwatering acidity.
