The 2018 Valtellina Superiore Grumello Riserva is an intensely mineral, savory wine. Dried herbs, chalk, incense, crushed flowers and spice are nicely delineated. This is an especially taut, austere style. There is plenty of personality, but readers should expect a nervy, tense red.
