Good full yellow. Aromas and flavors of ripe citrus fruit, wet underbrush, sweet spices and earth tones. Enters oily and round, showing outstanding depth to the baked apple and cinnamon flavors. Finishes long, fresh and very clean, displaying delightful acid-fruit balance. A very pretty, vibrant wine. Always a considerable step up from the Pinot Gris Reserve (but then again, there are only 20,000 bottles of this wine made, compared to the 200,000 of the Réserve, so a cut-and-dried comparison is a little unfair). Made only with estate-grown grapes, including fruit from three sites in the Osterberg Grand Cru (which explains this wine’s acidity).
