Opening to a reductive nose with oak aromas, the 2019 Chardonnay offers notes of sweet citrus, green and yellow apples and soft notes of toasted almonds. Medium-bodied, the wine uncoils on the palate, showing a delightfully pleasing texture that is food friendly, nimble and lively with acidity, offering flavors of popcorn kernel before gliding to a crisp, lingering, subtly-spiced finish. Just under 14,000 bottles were produced after the wine rested for 10 months in 35% new French oak barrels. Nicely done!
