The 2017 Monteti is redolent of dark cherry, chocolate, spice, leather, tobacco and grilled herbs. This brooding, potent Maremma red packs a serious punch, despite its mid-weight personality. There is a bit of burliness in the tannins, but otherwise, this is nicely done
