The 2022 Saint-Aubin Sous Roche Dumay 1er Cru unpacks nicely in the glass with a mixture of freshly sliced Anjou pears, Granny Smiths and sea cave. This is very delineated and focused. The palate is very well-balanced with a silver bead of acidity. A very slight underlying bitterness towards the finish countervails the richness from that warm summer, traces of apricot and allspice on the aftertaste. Just a lovely Saint-Aubin from the top drawer.
