This is ripe yet exuberantly fresh with bright aromas of both red and dark berries, spice, soft wood and a whiff of floral character. There is a similar level of freshness on the palate of the medium-bodied flavors that manage to be at once rich yet detailed and particularly on the firm and youthfully austere but well-balanced finale. This is compact and quite firmly structured and as such, a decade or more of aging potential seems to be a given.
