Crushed violet candies, citrus-tinged blackberries and hints of wet stone lift up from the 2018 Rosso A.D.1212. This is silky-smooth and pliant in feel, with a pure and lifted display of black fruits and sweet spice, all nicely framed by salty mineral tones that saturate deeply toward the close. Bright acidity keeps the mouth watering through the long, purple-tinged finale, where rounded tannins create a more tactile and classically dry impression. This blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Montepulciano is very easy to like and incredibly pretty.
