A blend of 70% Grenache Noir, 20% Syrah and 10% Cinsault, the 2022 Gigondas from Domaine d'Ourea is showing beautifully today. Revealing a delicately oaky and smoky bouquet of peony, garrigue, licorice, lead pencil and dark berries, it's medium to full-bodied, delicately tense and taut with a juicy, charming core of fruit, velvety tannins and a long, ethereal and peppery-inflicted finish. This wine promises to drink brilliantly over the next decade. It was made with 30% whole clusters and matured for 14 months in concrete tanks.
