The 2022 Chardonnay Five Soldiers is named after the five large stone pine trees overlooking the vineyard. This vintage is fresher, fuller and brighter, with a more focused and complex profile revealing layers of oak, yellow stone fruit, waxy lemon and peach. Medium-bodied, the palate is creamy and nuanced, with a sweet oak influence. Spices delightfully linger on the finish, making it very food friendly. The wine aged in French barrels, with 70% new oak, for 15 months. 5,300 bottles were produced.
