Spicier aromas of poached plum, dark currant, violet and a hint of crushed fennel are rimmed in more subtle wood influence. Once again there is a really lovely texture to the more mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess a caressing mouthfeel, all wrapped in a firm, punchy, lightly austere and equally well-balanced finale. Lovely and understated.
