The 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre. It has a more modern bouquet of ripe black raspberry and cassis fruit supported by spicy oak, graphite, and pepper. These carry to a medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, concentrated 2021 with plenty of mid-palate depth, the fresher, vibrant style of the vintage, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's another impressive effort from this talented estate that I'd be happy to drink on release and any time over the following 10-15 years.
