The 2023 Barbera d'Alba is another ne entry-level oering from Burlotto. In 2023, Fabio Alessandria did not feel the Aves, his top Barbera, was materially dierent from this, the straight bottling, so he blended all the fruit together. Consequently, the Barbera has a bit more fruit density and a touch of oak inuence (from new casks) that it does not usually have. Succulent red cherry, plum, spice, cedar and rose petal build nicely in the glass.
