The 2023 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard comes from 30-year-old Wente vines, and the wine was matured for 18 months in 20% new French oak. It has slowly unfolding scents of orchard fruit, oyster shell, bread dough, hazelnuts and floral perfume. The light-bodied palate is energetic! Its soft, rounded texture and delicate, mineral-driven flavors are complemented by racy acidity, and it has a long, ethereal finish. 318 cases were made. Fine-boned and youthfully shy, it will benefit from several years in the cellar.
