Classic Provençal notes of spiced cherries, leather, flowery incense, and peppery garrigue all emerge from the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape, a wonderfully complex, layered, medium to full-bodied 2023 that shines in the vintage. Based on 70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and the rest a mix of varieties that were all partially destemmed, it brings rock-solid mid-palate depth and richness, has sweet tannins, and a great finish.
