We are thrilled that we FINALLY have received our Mourchon order. We have the Rose (our best-selling and most requested Rose every year) as well as two of their outstanding Cotes du Rhone and finally a true "unicorn"... their Gigondas made just for us.
Located in the hamlet of Seguret, Domaine de Mourchon is owned by the wonderful and charismatic Walter McKinlay and his daughter Kate. We highly recommend paying them a visit if you can as their vineyards sit high up in the appellation with an incredible view of Mt. Ventoux. Walter put Seguret on the map many years ago and the quality here just keeps getting better (first-rate winemaking team). The terroir here is fantastic and we are very proud to have been amongst the first importers of Mourchon to the USA (we've been buying these wines since 2003).
These direct imports represent some of the greatest buys in wine these days -you really can't go wrong buying a bottle (or better yet a case!) of Domaine de Mourchon!
2021 Cotes du Rhone Seguret La Source Blanc
Mourchon makes one of the best CDR Blancs in all of the Southern Rhone. A nice blend of 40% Viognier, 20% Grenache Blanc, 20% Roussanne and Marsanne, 20% Clairette and Bourboulenc

GRAPE VARIETIES: 60% grenache, 40% Syrah
This wine has aromas of strawberries, citrus fruit and spring flowers. The palate has good acidity, is refreshing, full of fruit and has a good length.
Enjoy as an aperitif, for a barbecue or as an accompaniment for Mediterranean style food such as Provencal salad or ratatouille. This wine also marries very well with spicy food.

2020 Cotes du Rhone Seguret Tradition

The 2020 Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret is rock solid, as always, offering a complex nose of juicy red berries, ground pepper, black licorice, and some sappy garrigue notes. This richly textured, medium-bodied, balanced beauty is well worth a multi-bottle purchase and is going to drink nicely for 5-7 years with no issues. I suspect it's a great value

2020 Gigondas
Mourchon's winemaker Sebastain Magnouac hails from Gigondas and makes this wine just for us. He won't tell me where he gets the fruit from but when you taste it you'll know it's someone good!
