Chardonnay from Senses Winery

Limited Supply, Lowest Price in the Country… Act NOW!

Senses Wines is the dream of three childhood friends. Christopher, Max and Myles partnered with critically acclaimed winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown, to produce world-class wines from renowned vineyards owned by their families. Since founding in 2011, Senses Wines production has grown to include many coveted vineyard sites throughout northern California.

Senses Wines estate vineyards are located in the West Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley region of Sonoma County, specifically just outside the town of Occidental where the three founders grew up.

Our wines embody the natural and distinct characteristics of the vineyards from where the grapes are grown. Our team believes the vineyards are Senses Wines' greatest assets, and we meticulously farm each vine so the winemaking process can be as hands-off as possible. This approach ensures the complexity and finesse we expect for each wine, vintage after vintage. Grapes are hand sampled and harvested at ideal ripeness, cold-soaked for a few days, fermented with yeasts indigenous to the vineyard, and ultimately pressed and barreled into a selection of our favorite French cooperages.

2020 SENS3S - Chardonnay Sonoma Coast

2020 exuded significant promise with mild temperatures and cold nights to preserve the bright acidity typical of the valley and coast. Though frost was concerning in low-lying areas, most of the winery vineyards are on hills and ridgetops, which remained unaffected. Springtime rains threatened fruit set, but at the same time was welcome coming out of a very dry winter - dry winters often make for great growing seasons, provided you have the water. Although smoke from the wildfires damaged our entire red wine crop, excellent concentration and very clean fruit made for stellar Chardonnay that will be age-worthy with high acids and pleasantly ripe fruit characters. -Winemakers Notes

"With a portion of the fruit sourced from the Charles Heintz Vineyard, the 2020 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is aromatic of fresh salted pineapple, chive, and delicate flinty reduction. The palate is ripe up front, with juicy citrus of Meyer lemon, green apple, and a stony mineral texture. This is a beautiful appellation wine to drink over the next 10 years or more."

2021 SENS3S - Chardonnay Sonoma El Diablo

Planted in 2008 by vineyard manager Ulises Valdez, El Diablo vineyard sits on a ridge above Eastside Road in Russian River Valley. Early in their relationship, he told the Senses team that "when you work hard, the fruit always tastes better." That holds very true for El Diablo. Winemaker's Notes

"Medium golden with a silver tint, the 2021 Chardonnay El Diablo offers lots of layered and classic charm, with wonderful aromas of flint, salted peach, toasted brioche, and lime zest. Medium to full-bodied, with a clean and creamy texture, it has seamless balance in its notes of hazelnut, toasted cedar, and melon. More about its rounded and viscous texture than acidity, it's long on the palate. It's going to improve over the next 5-7 years and drink well over the following 10"
