"Pale orange. High-pitched red berry, orange zest and jasmine aromas, with suave mineral and smoky lees notes adding complexity. Spicy and precise on the palate, showing very good punch to its strawberry and bitter cherry flavors. Opens up smoothly with air and picks up a bitter rhubarb quality that lingers onto the long, tightly focused finish. This bottling showed more brawny character than many past renditions of this cuve, but with no lack of vivacity."

2021 Crozes Hermitage Blanc Alain Graillot
80% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne. Grapes are pressed upon arrival at the winery. After settling, about 50% of the must is fermented in barrel (1-year-old oak from top Burgundy producers such as Sauzet). The other 50% is given a long, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine avoids malolactic to preserve the acidity and freshness. The resulting wine is rich with full-bodied palate giving creamy hints but balanced with flavors of apricot, yellow peach, honey, yellow apple and citrus blossom.

2020 Chianti Cl Caparsa
The entry level estate bottling this wine holds great composure with standard Tuscan fare. Not at all a fruit bomb the wine has a bright vital acidtity with some subtle complexities leather tobacco, chocolate backed by spice and hints of plum fruit. There is plenty of balance and some fine tannin in the wine to pare well with red sauces and to evolve in the cellar several years.
