Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi was born in Siena (24th gerneration), the third of five children and part of the historic Bindi Sergardi family whose Sienese roots can be traced back to 1349. Her father Nicolò, whose grandfather Emilio was one of the founders of the Chianti Classico Consortium. Alessandra right after graduating with a master's degree cum laude in Economy from University of Florence decided to follow the family tradition, feeling that her innate passion for the land and its wine was her calling. In 2005, she joined the wine sector of the family estates - I Colli, Mocenni, and Marcianella -as Director General. Young and focused, Alessandra has very precise goals: to continue to produce only wine of elevated quality and to spread Bindi Sergardi's philosophy - authenticity, audacity, and integrity.

Hailing from Castellina in Chianti, in the Tuscany region of Italy, Giulia grew up with Sangiovese coursing through her veins (almost). Her mother is the third generation of Castello di Monsanto winery and her father is the fourth one of the Famiglia Cecchi Estates. From early childhood, Giulia has been deeply involved in the atmosphere of vine growing, including working her first harvest at four years old! Today, Giulia serves as the U.S. Brand Ambassador for Castello di Monsanto where she focuses on sharing the gospel of Italian culture, gleefully educating clients on the rich heritage of Italian wines.

2020 Chianti Cl Ris Monsanto DOCG
"Bing cherry and blood orange, potting soil, graphite and then wild herbs—especially sage—appear on the nose, before a whisper of vanilla and cedar. Juicy and fresh on the palate, with vanilla, chocolate and cherry, and then herbs emerging again on the back. A rare example of a wine with great sophistication that's also an undeniable crowd-pleaser."

2018 Chianti Cl Gran Selezione DOCG
"So much lavender and sage with lemon blossom and cherry aromas. Medium-bodied with firm and fine tannins that give a crunchiness instead of a chewiness. Needs time to soften but already impressive and precise. A classicism that is hard to find in Italy."

2017 Nemo Toscana IGT
"A pretty treat. The aromas are spot on and the bouquet shows little sign of the vintage heat that proved difficult in many parts of Tuscany. Instead this wine offers delicate tones of blue flower, black olive, spice and campfire ash. There is smoothness on the bouquet; however, the palate shows some of the tannic astringency and tightness that is characteristic of this 2017 vintage." 92 Pts Wine Advocate
2017 Vin Santo La Chimera 375ml
The 2007 Vin Santo "la Chimera" from Castello di Monsanto is a beautifully deep, complex and mature. Having aged in the barrel it shows complexity and richness you might find in old tawny fortified wines like port or madeira. There is definitely raisin like scents and flavors with hints of citrus peel with a lingering toasted nuts and butter. The palate has nice depth with rich sumptuous flavors giving texture and length. Great bottle of Vin Santo and not to be matched under $75 . Pair with countless desserts, Vanilla Ice cream, dried fruit and a delight with cheese.
