It is a field blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cão. Following house tradition, the grapes are foot-trodden in open granite lagares. The producer notes an ageing potential of more than 50 years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe color is a powerful ox-blood red. Aromas of violet, cherry, dark plum, briar, and black currant mingle with hints of licorice root and orange blossom. The muscular palate has a fresh vein of tannin and balanced acidity, finishing with rich, jammy fruit and a touch of spice.
