Half comes from the oldest Pelagrilli parcels, planted by Siro himself in 1970, where sandy soils meet cool western winds. The rest comes from Piancornello parcels planted in the 1960s by Giancarlo's maternal grandfather, on gravelly soils over hard rock with warm southern exposure. Fruit is sorted by optical sorter and by hand, fermented in steel, then aged 24 months in French barriques, two months in concrete, and 22 months in bottle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eBaked cherries, lavender, and black and purple fruit meet Mediterranean herbs, balsamic notes, and a touch of cardamom.
