Montà sits in the only commune spanning Langhe and Roero suited to both arneis and nebbiolo, and today the fifteen-hectare estate produces roughly ninety thousand bottles a year, the majority of it arneis.

Bricco Ciliegie takes its name from the cherry orchards once planted on the site before it was given over to vines. The vineyard sits between 340 and 370 meters, on east and southeast-facing slopes with sandy, limestone-flecked soils threaded with clay and silt. Most of the fruit ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with a small portion aged in untoasted French barriques, and the wine rests on its lees for about six months before bottling.

In the glass it shows pale straw with green highlights, opening to white flowers, citrus peel, and orchard fruit. The palate is fresh and saline, carried by bright acidity and a touch of bitter almond on the finish. It suits raw or grilled seafood, sushi, or vegetable antipasti.
