Once blended, it spends an additional 32 months finishing in casks that previously held single malt Scotch on Scotland's remote Isle of Jura, a mix of 84 percent ex bourbon barrels and 16 percent ex sherry casks. That long secondary maturation lets the Scotch character genuinely integrate rather than simply sit on the surface, and the whiskey is bottled at 104 proof.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe nose offers vanilla crème and blackberry compote lifted by fresh mint, framed by toasted oak and a hint of cigar box. On the palate, caramel and baking spice meet ripe fruit and soft malt sweetness.
