Pale gold. Penetrating aromas of tangerine, pear, white peach and fennel pick up chalky mineral and floral notes as the wine opens up. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering bitter pear skin and Meyer lemon flavors and a spicy snap of candied ginger. The mineral note repeats emphatically on the incisive, tightly focused finish, which hangs on with very good, spicy tenacity.
