Almost tropical overtones on the nose announce ample pure fruit. Russet pear has both a touch of fresh Amalfi lemon and luscious honey. Yet the palate is slender, taut and dry. A lovely evocation of the varietal richness of Pinot Gris, framed on very light feet with elegance and poise. Totally appetizing, dry and moreish.- Wine Enthusiast 92
The wine is lovely, offering up a complex and quite expressive bouquet of peach, orange, lovely soil tones, a bit of wheat chaff and a potpourri of gently musky spring flowers in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite dry, with a lovely core, good mineral undertow, a still fairly primary personality, good acids and fine length and grip on the focused and youthful finish. This needs some time to blossom, but it will be excellent once it has started to stir from behind its fine structural elements.- John Gilman - 91+
Fairly ripe and forward, showing classic peach, apricot and melon on the nose. Full-bodied and intense on the palate, but still pretty dry, this is about as crowd-pleasing as they come.
