Luminous straw-green. Aromas of lemon, crystallized ginger and tropical fruit. Juicy, dense and suave, offering rich apple and pear flavors complicated by repeating hints of crystallized ginger and a whiff of chamomile. Very good acid lift extends the flavors on the rich, savory back end.
Ian D'Agata - Vinous Media 91Picked on October 1st and vinified in stainless steel for six months, the 2014 Alsace Grand Cru Eichberg Riesling Trois Chateaux is intense, deep and ripe on the nose, with ripe stone fruit aromas intermixed with herbal and stony notes as well as a touch of caramel. Full-bodied, rich and powerful, this is an elegant, dense, well-concentrated and almost lush but structured Eichberg with a kiss of sweetness and a long, salty finish. Impressive.
