Ratings and Reviews

DESCRIPTION:

  • This wine is an assemblage of villages from the southern end of the Côte de Nuits: Corgoloin, Comblanchien, Premeaux, Brochon, Couchey.
  • The name "Côte de Nuits" comes from the town of Nuits-Saint-Georges, like Beaune, the capital of its own Côte (or slope).
  • The soil is clay and limestone. It is an interesting wine combining the different characteristics of the various "terroirs"; fairly soft and rich wines in the south to more tannic wines with a strong structure in the north.

GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Pinot Noir

FOOD PAIRINGS: Excellent with light meats, roast chicken, and mild cheeses

TASTING NOTES: "A delicious red Burgundy, with harmonious flavors. Bright ruby color. On the nose, intense aromas of wild cherry, licorice and mild spices, evolving towards notes of undergrowth and mushroom. On the palate, excellent balance between tannin, acidity and "gras" (velvety texture). The aftertaste is reminiscent of little red berries". - Véronique Drouhin-Boss
