2021 Arneis Blange Langhe

Ceretto Blangé is an excellent example of the expression of the native Arneis grape. It is a pleasant medium-bodied white, fresh and fragrant. The appearance has a bright straw yellow color. The nose is mineral and intensely fruity, with clear hints of ripe pear and green apple. In the mouth it is fragrant, savory, fresh and with a persistent finish. Ideal in combination with fish dishes and appetizers, risotto with vegetables, savory pies.

2019 Barbaresco

The Ceretto 2019 Barbaresco is an organic wine that paints a clear picture of a beautiful vintage. Tart cherry, white licorice and dusty earth lift from the bouquet and give this wine a sharp sense of focus and intensity. Ceretto has released a superb set of Barbarescos this year, starting with this classic expression.

2015 Barbaresco

Aromas of plums, oranges and cedar follow through to a full body with soft and velvety tannins. A juicy and luscious finish. Made from organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

2016 Barbaresco

Bright cherry and strawberry fruit glides over a backbone of dusty tannins in this linear red. Balanced and harmonious, with a long aftertaste that shows floral, tobacco and spicy notes.

2016 Barbaresco Bernardot

The 2016 Barbaresco Bernardot is a super-classic wine. Finely cut, the Bernardot is all about energy and tension. Dark red cherry, cedar, tobacco, spice and leather gradually develop in the glass, but the 2016 is tightly wound and nowhere near ready to show all of its cards. It may very well be the most powerful, austere Bernardot I have tasted here. There is a real sense of weight and gravitas to the 2016 that adds to its embryonic feel.

2019 Barbaresco Bernardot

The organic Ceretto 2019 Barbaresco Bernadot shows a broader character and a more open-knit personality compared to the Asili. There is a lot of dark fruit, spice, truffle and earth to frame the medium-build of this elegant wine. 95 Points Wine Advocate

2016 Barbaresco Asili

The 2016 Barbaresco Asili (with 4,000 bottles made) is the most articulate and complete of the Barbaresco wines presented by Ceretto from the 2016 vintage. The wine offers momentary sweetness, with cherry and redcurrant followed by extremely silky and fine texture. After that bright berry fruit, the bouquet lays out dry notes of crushed stone and minerals. I most enjoyed the extremely fine texture of this wine, along with its accessible and elegant approach. Serve it with delicate crackers and a liver pate or terrine.

2015 Barolo Prapo

The 2015 Barolo Prapo is a gorgeous expression of this vineyard site in Serralunga d'Alba, with an incredible sense of textural fiber that is so fine and tightly knit. The mouthfeel is extremely polished and silky. Like other Barolos from Ceretto, it almost seems a shame to distract attention from this craftsmanship with flavors from a heavy meal, and so it might be better to cellar it for a decade and then celebrate it with fine cheeses or pate. Some 7,000 bottles were produced.

2016 Barolo Brunate

The 2016 Barolo Brunate shows a dark core of fruit, and you are immediately aware of the depth and profound nature of this wine. The bouquet is lifted by cassis, wild cherry and plum. The ferrous quality that we saw in some of the other wines is softer here, and I would describe Brunate as the most fruit-forward (at this young stage) with elegant tannins and impactful fruit weight on the finish.
