The Etna area of Sicily has a great history of superb, elegant, and complex, wine perfect for pairing with the upcoming Thanksgiving feast!

2021 Terre Nere Etna Bianco
A perfect, delicious wine made with a blend of white native varietals: Carricante, Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico and Minnella along with a prevalence of Carricante. Having the spontaneous grace of a dancer, this wine never loses its brightness and pace. As it ages, it shows the nobility of its terroir emerges decisively becoming thoughtful and profound, but never redundant. Pair with fish, chicken,Turkey rabbit or with first courses like prosciutto and melon, salami and figs or risotto. It has great versatility and easy to drink.
The 2021 Etna Bianco opens with a perfumed blend of white flowers, crushed green apples and ginger. This is soft textured with a lovely inner sweetness and ripe orchard fruits that soothe the senses. It leaves a staining of minerality and zesty acids to mingle through the finish, providing a gentle grip and freshness. Terre Nere's Etan Bianco is one of the best values coming out of Sicily today.

2021 Terre Nere Etna Rosso
Attractive and fresh with red berries, hints of hibiscus flowers and citrus peel. Some dusty earth, too. Medium-bodied with chalky tannins that play nicely with the textural earthy character, before turning to a vivid, red-fruited finish. From organically grown grapes.
Made from very fine Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio from low yielding vineyards. Even young it is a distinguished wine. Fresh, fragrant, beautifully slender and with a fine grip, it has a natural polish, a stage presence.

2020 Terre Nere Etna Rosso Guardiola
The 2020 Etna Rosso Guardiola grumbles up with a mineral-inflected blend of ashen stones, black cherries and dried roses. It's silky, round and supple upon entry, yet quickly gains in tension. Tart wild berry fruits and saline tones are carried across a core of brisk acidity. Inner rose and nuances of sour citrus are left to linger as the Guardiola finishes structured and long, leaving a staining of licorice behind. Today, the 2020 is holding its power in reserve. This is a formidable vintage of Guardiola.

2020 Terre Nere Etna Calderara Sottana
The Tenuta delle Terre Nere 2020 Etna Rosso Calderara Sottana has a savory, almost autumnal personality with tobacco, wet moss, spice and dark fruit. It stands apart from the other wines in the portfolio thanks to those darker fruit qualities. Marc De Grazia uses the unusual word "feline" to describe a mouthfeel that is long and sleek. I notice the dry, silky nature of the elegant tannins.
