Taut tannins still at 6 years old, with nuanced, balanced, juicy and powerful cassis and bilberry fruits. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, moderate weight, classic and perhaps conservative in style. Yet the harmony is just wonderful and it slips down the throat almost too easily. As such, I feel this is a more approachable Haut-Batailley compared to other vintages, yet it has the body to reward three of four years of bottle age.","Blurb3":null,"ItemNumber":96631,"LimitedToStores":false,"Score1":"93","Score2":"92","Score3":null,"SourceId1":9,"SourceId2":1,"SourceId3":0,"Id":35234},"BlurbSource":{"Name":"James Suckling","Abbreviation":"JS","Id":9},"CategoryId":1,"Producer":"Chateau Haut Batailley","Id":192378,"CustomProperties":{}},{"Name":"2014 Chateau Haut Brion - Pessac Ex-Chateau release","ShortDescription":null,"FullDescription":null,"SeName":"2014-chateau-haut-brion-pessac","StockQuantity":5,"Sku":"65294","BottleSize":"750ml","ProductType":"SimpleProduct","MarkAsNew":false,"ProductPrice":{"OldPrice":null,"OldPriceValue":null,"Price":"$415.00","PriceValue":415.0000,"BasePricePAngV":null,"BasePricePAngVValue":null,"DisableBuyButton":false,"DisableWishlistButton":false,"DisableAddToCompareListButton":true,"AvailableForPreOrder":false,"PreOrderAvailabilityStartDateTimeUtc":null,"IsRental":false,"ForceRedirectionAfterAddingToCart":false,"DisplayTaxShippingInfo":false,"CustomProperties":{}},"DefaultPictureModel":{"ImageUrl":"https://www.bassins.com/images/thumbs/008/0088646_2014-chateau-haut-brion-pessac-ex-chateau-release_360.jpeg","ThumbImageUrl":null,"FullSizeImageUrl":"https://www.bassins.com/images/thumbs/008/0088646_2014-chateau-haut-brion-pessac-ex-chateau-release.jpeg","Title":"Show details for 2014 Chateau Haut Brion - Pessac Ex-Chateau release","AlternateText":"Picture of 2014 Chateau Haut Brion - Pessac Ex-Chateau release","CustomProperties":{}},"ProductSpecificationModel":{"Groups":[],"CustomProperties":{}},"ReviewOverviewModel":{"ProductId":183445,"RatingSum":0,"TotalReviews":0,"AllowCustomerReviews":false,"CanAddNewReview":true,"CustomProperties":{}},"Blurb":{"Author1":"Antonio Galloni","Author2":"Neal Martin","Author3":null,"Blurb1":"One of the stars of the vintage, the 2014 Haut-Brion is an exceptionally beautiful and vivid wine. As I observed when I made the comparison in barrel, the Haut Brion exudes more red fruit than La Mission Haut Brion, adorned with wild strawberry, bilberry, tobacco and again, just that hint of menthol in the background. The palate is very fresh and taut on the entry. The acidity is very nicely pitched and there is a touch of marmalade and blood orange that is tangible at the back of the mouth. There is real frisson to this Haut Brion, not quite as seductive and as smooth as its sibling over the road, but very persistent in the mouth. I noticed that over 15 to 20 minutes that the Haut Brion just gained more and more complexity, putting a small distance between itself and La Mission, as if determined to mock my opinion in barrel that La Mission would have the upper hand! Be my guest. Haut Brion has an inch, just an inch ahead of its rival\u0022 sibling.\u0022","Blurb3":null,"ItemNumber":65294,"LimitedToStores":false,"Score1":"97","Score2":"96","Score3":null,"SourceId1":7,"SourceId2":1,"SourceId3":0,"Id":27045},"BlurbSource":{"Name":"Vinous Media","Abbreviation":"VM","Id":7},"CategoryId":1,"Producer":"Chateau Haut Brion","Id":183445,"CustomProperties":{}},{"Name":"2014 Chateau Lagrange - St. Julien","ShortDescription":null,"FullDescription":null,"SeName":"2014-chateau-lagrange-st-julien-pre-arrival","StockQuantity":89,"Sku":"92314","BottleSize":"750ml","ProductType":"SimpleProduct","MarkAsNew":false,"ProductPrice":{"OldPrice":null,"OldPriceValue":null,"Price":"$69.99","PriceValue":69.9900,"BasePricePAngV":null,"BasePricePAngVValue":null,"DisableBuyButton":false,"DisableWishlistButton":false,"DisableAddToCompareListButton":true,"AvailableForPreOrder":false,"PreOrderAvailabilityStartDateTimeUtc":null,"IsRental":false,"ForceRedirectionAfterAddingToCart":false,"DisplayTaxShippingInfo":false,"CustomProperties":{}},"DefaultPictureModel":{"ImageUrl":"https://www.bassins.com/images/thumbs/008/0085530_2014-chateau-lagrange-st-julien_360.png","ThumbImageUrl":null,"FullSizeImageUrl":"https://www.bassins.com/images/thumbs/008/0085530_2014-chateau-lagrange-st-julien.png","Title":"Show details for 2014 Chateau Lagrange - St. Julien","AlternateText":"Picture of 2014 Chateau Lagrange - St. Julien","CustomProperties":{}},"ProductSpecificationModel":{"Groups":[],"CustomProperties":{}},"ReviewOverviewModel":{"ProductId":181412,"RatingSum":0,"TotalReviews":0,"AllowCustomerReviews":false,"CanAddNewReview":true,"CustomProperties":{}},"Blurb":{"Author1":"Neal Martin","Author2":"Jane Anson","Author3":null,"Blurb1":"The 2014 Lagrange was picked from 25 September until 17 October. A stately St Estèphe, entirely in keeping with the character of this wine, lovers of classical, balanced, concentrated Montrose will want to get hold of this - and it is just about ready to begin drinking, although zero risk of it tipping too far into tertiary over the next decade.
